Hampton Inn Washington, D.C./White House
OTO’s first adaptive reuse project converted the iconic Kiplinger Editors Building into Hampton Inn Washington, D.C./White House. Great care was taken to preserve the structure’s mid-century modern character and incorporate its history into the interior design.
One of the first D.C. hotels to obtain the LEED Gold designation, the property also holds Landmark status within the D.C. Inventory of Historic Sites.
Located on H Street in D.C.’s Golden Triangle, this Hampton Inn is two blocks from the White House and one block from the headquarters of The World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Within easy walking distance of George Washington University, multiple embassies, and numerous national monuments — and proximate to three Metro stops offering regional connectivity — the hotel is perfectly positioned for both leisure and business travelers.
